Broken vent cover
This weekend I noticed the toilet vent cover had a broken corner. Then a while later, a gust of wind caught the cover and broke it into pieces. The cover was very brittle. The screen frame has "Elixir" on it.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Can the cover be replaced without replacing the curb as well?

You can get the cover only. Be sure you know exactly which one you need...it like lots of things, there are very many models from which to chose. I broke one in Phoenix, went to CW to get a replacement...after seeing so many, waited until I got home to the dealer to be sure I got the correct one.

As a matter of fact I just replaced my vent cover in the bathroom.I noticed a crack on it.This even had a maxi-air cover over it.When I took off the maxi-air cover the lid was brittle.I could crumble it in my hand.To replace is a easy install.I think I paid about 10 bucks for the replacement lid

I think that any decent sized RV dealer will have multiple covers to choose from.

Thanks to all who replied.
I changed the cover yesterday and it was a pretty simple job. Actually, I changed both. I guess I could left the other as it was still pliable, but for less than $10.00 and 20 min. of my time, I replaced it as well.

Have had two crumble on us. Seems like a vent cover could be left in the weather!

All the covers are the same size but the hinge is different on different brands. Pull the old cover and take it with you to the dealer so you can match it.

I have lost many covers to hail over the years. Last summer lost three on my way to Sturgis, 2 on the SOB and 1 on the motorcycle trailer. Took around 40 minutes to replace all three of them, that included pulling them and matching them at a dealer both trailers taking the same cover. I believe that with the abuse from the sun and weather it is a normal thing. Does make those vent covers look like a good investment against the agrivation.
