As far as the legality in Oregon, it might be illegal, but trying to find a cop to stop you on I-5 is rare. You don't see many cops on I-5 anymore due to all the budget cuts. I have seen people pulling triple on occasion, but due to the lack of enforcement you might get thru. You could probably reinforce your frame to make it secure proven by some doing just that. If there was a problem, don't expect any help from Keystone. Each to their own on this one.

All it takes is one who happened to get up on the wrong side of the bed to ruin your whole day.

I am a little hesitant about installing a swivel wheel just makes me a little nervous about how the frame would handle it ,we have a Old Honda trail 90 and and just put it behind the cab of the truck

I've got a 2007 3400RL and have had the swivel wheel for 7 years with a Vstar 950 on it. I've been up the Alaskan Highway with it and in almost every state in the union and the troopers who pass me don't even blink. I love the thing and especially love having the bike. I installed the universal motorhome hitch myself as I was sure the kind of answers I'd get if I asked....

Hello all. I am also looking at the Swivel Wheel 58 Singe wheel, 1,000 capacity. I was told to plan on a 50/50 split for tongue weight, so a 600lb tongue weight (600lb bike and 500lb swivel wheel). It seems several of you have been running these for a few years, but have there been any issues with bent frames or slide out issues? I plan on using the dual hitch option and having a custom receiver welded to the 10" I beam frames. I have a 2010 3750 FL.
Thank you all for your assistance in advance! I really don't want to give up the floor plan and comfort of the Monty just to take my bike with me...

Here's an over the top idea that we've seen a time or two - a semi-tractor pulling a 5th wheel. The frame is long enough for motorcycles and even a small car to be loaded crossways behind the cab and still have room for the 5th wheel to negotiate curves.

I've been towing a swivel wheel trailer with a Polaris 500 on board for three years without any problems. Since I'm storing the ATV in Colorado this year, the trailer is for sale.

I've got a 58SRW with a condor motorcycle holder and a 3 piece ramp that I had on my 2007 3400 for 7 years that went to Alaska and back and most states in the country with no issues and I just sold my fifth wheel SO.... I've got a one available that LOTS less than the factory. I'm located in the pan handle of Florida is you're interested.

I have really considered using the Idaho Tote so I stopped at the shop in Lewiston Idaho and met with the manufacturer. I was amazed at the engineering that goes into this thing. They have an on board air compressor which changes the axle to allow for backing. They also have a locking system if the compressor fails. They have an excellent track record and have worked with the different states to assure they are legal. They told me that all states accept them because they are part of the trailer and not temp. They did state that BC Canada still will not accept them due to the steep and crooked roads in the area, however they are still working on getting them legal there also. The cost was up there at about $8500.00 and first blush was they were over priced. After seeing the construction and what goes into these they are worth the money if you are that set on hauling a toy.

Mine has been through bc twice as well as California and we were passed by many police officers who never gave it a second look! Mine is also less than $1000 too!
