Finally Ready!

Got the hitch rails put in yesterday and installed the in bed plug today. Hitched up and everything looks good. Trailer measures 13'3.5" so I should be good on the interstates which require a minimum of 13.6. First trip (to Ohio) is coming up in a few weeks!

For anyone interested, the Reese Signature series hitch does work with their Elite frame rails, though I've heard some Fords may require a set of longer locking lugs. I had to raise the hitch up two inches as the bed rails on the new truck are 2 inches higher than the old one. Also, the Reese Elite rail kit number for GM 3/4 and 1 ton trucks is 30868, the same one used on the 2014 model. Getting that information verified took me over a month.

Still looking forward to getting to ride in it at the fall rally. That's a great looking truck!
