Mine would be the opposite Ozz. Raised an Army brat, requisite crew-cut from on-base barber shop all through childhood. When old enough (teen), rebellious spirit set in which resulted in 60's style hippie hair through the seventies (well past shoulders). Heck even now, I have to wear it long to have sufficient hair available to cover the receding hairline and expanding bald spot on the rear!! Maybe I should try the Brylcream now???

Ah, you guys worked with your hands! Was on fast attack sub duty as an RM. Once a paratrooper asked me how could you live underwater. I said it made more sense than jumping out of a plane. Each to his own game I guess.

I was at the VA Hospital today, trying to get hearing aids, I saw a lot of broken men there, I looked at them and thought how they must have looked when young men serving, it is a shame what happens to our bodies.
I still think I am young..

As my 89 YO FIL said not to long ago..."in this old broken down body, there is a young guy trying to get out."

Agree Ozz. My dad has shingles and I've been taking him to the VA for the last 3 months. He served in WWII in occupied Germany. Lots of brave souls come through those doors.
