Ourside temp probes

Has anyone hooked an outside temp probe to their stock thermostat on a 3625RE. The inside temp works but the outside temp was never intended to be used apparently. I would buy an outside temp probe if I knew it would work and which one to buy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I checked into it once and even e-mailed to get the correct part number at one time, then figured that my good old $20 Walmart special weather station with the remote sensor outside was a heck of a lot easier to install. It can be done and I think the instructions were briefly mentioned in our Thermostat manual for the one we had.

I'm with Bingo ... Wally World has a neat looking atomic clock with indoor and remote out door temperature for about $25. I hung it on the end of the cabinet over the countertop on my 3150. The outdoor sensor is mounted inside the propane storage area.

I would think your 2012 would have the outside sensor. It is my understanding that the wire for it is part of the wiring harness that goes up to the ac unit, and the sensor is inside the cover of the ac unit. Sounds about right cause when the sun hits the ac cover, the outside temp goes up quite rapidly.....

We're another couple "limping" by with a cheap pick it up at the box store model and it works better in my opinion. Joyce wants to know the temperature in the shade so she can dress appropriately, the temp on the roof doesn't help much.

We have an inexpensive garden store model with a remote outdoor sensor. I hang the sensor in a mesh bag under the pin box in the shade. I hang it there because I don't have to drill any holes and I remember to take it in before we hook-up. It works good for us. Walt

Our 2012 Monty outside temp button inside never worked either, No Big just bought one that sticks to the window outside

I put my sensor under the front center and installed it with velcro. I just remove it when I hook up. well most of the time I do but when we left fl last month I forgot but it was still there when we got home 550 miles velcro did good.
