How do you turn it off?
When I am heating up my breakfast; (Sausage dog wrapped with a pancake on a stick)... the Microwave beeper sounds like a dump truck backing up, wakes Rip Van Winkle upstairs.
Most of the time there is a way to turn that dang thing off in these appliances.
Anyone?

Maybe unpluging it will reset the computer in it, or flip the braker off then back on. thats easier than pulling the microwave to get to the plug. see if that will do anything.

The beeping is the default, I need to re-program the board.
and Jim, the shotgun, while momentarily would be fun, would leave me walking around in circles in 24 hrs looking for something to thaw out my dawg..

Rich,
The parrot! It is amazing what sounds they can pick up. As you can tell from my sig that I am a Ham Radio operator. We were traveling with a close friend who was also a Ham. Naturally we were talking to each other via our radios. As I would listen to my friend talking I kept hearing Morse Code. Turns out the parrot had picked up some Morse Code and was making a perfect Morse Code signal sounds! What a hoot! Dennis

Ozz: Find the beeper and unhook it or cover it up. Used to have a beeper on the outside of our controls, the guys in the shop would stick a small cork in the outer hole. Of course they forgot to remove it before shipping.

Murf I really need it for the timer function, plus when food is done, maybe it works that way.
I looked up the manual, doesn't look like it has that option.
Here is the link to the manual mif anyone is interested, I'm printing it out for our use.

Ozz,
I would wire a switch on the buzzer to turn it on or off. Actually I would try and put a temp hold circuit so it is normally not muted at power up and you have to activate the mute switch each time.

I guess we are the lucky ones. Our beeper quit on it's own!

Be patient, wait 15 years, you may not hear it.....at all, or other things either.
