The preparations continue

Spent the weekend in the 2007 3400RL for the last time camping in the rig. Before we left the campsite, I spent an hour or so removing the Delta faucet that I installed about a month ago as well as the removal of the Autoformer and the Progressive Industries EMS that were both installed in the battery compartment. While I was doing that, Cathy and the girls were hard at work crating up as much as they could on the inside of the rig. We then took the 3400 back to the mini-storage and made one of what looks like will be two trips to get the various items that have accumulated in it over the last three and a half years. The load completely filled the Suburban with all back seats folded down. It is amazing how much "stuff" was removed and it is even more amazing how much "stuff" still remains to be removed. Still have to empty the basement, but a bare 3400 (other than the Splendide stackables) should be ready for transport by the end of the week or at the latest by the weekend. Still waiting for the arrival date to be firmed up, the waiting is still as hard as it was, but the end is getting closer. Wheeeeewwww!!

Bingo. I know the feeling. We spent last week unloading our SOB and will finish tomorrow morning. Then hitch her up for one last time to take her to the dealer's. If all goes well, we'll be pulling out of there at about 4:30 in the afternoon with our 2011 3465SA. Hope I can sleep tonight.
When is your next trip planned with the new Monty?

We are hoping to stay a week starting the evening of the pick-up day at a campground about 15 minutes from the house. We want to make sure that everything is working well (kind of a week-long systems inspection), before we take our week-long vacation at Thanksgiving. One thing I will recommend is try to use the rig as much as possible during the warranty period since I believe if it is going to break, it usually breaks pretty early. Let me know how the sleep went!!

Bingo,
youinz guys are'nt a little excited are you? We filled up your new Monty so you may not have room for all that stuff you took out of the 3400! Won't be long now, hang in there. Mischevious activities here continue; yesterday was the finals for the water balloon Olympics, have no idea who won but we were sailing them over 100yds!
Chuck

We are missing a case of toilet paper, seemed to disappear on Friday while we were on the factory tour.

Well at least the toilet paper will blow and wash off on the rig's journey southward. As for the fish that Steve mentioned, that one I am not sure about, but I am hoping that there is a stray at one of the fueling stations en-route that will take care of it. Or, I may have to leave it there for medicinal purposes, you know, to mask the "new camper" smell, because of DW's asthma!!! It totally amazes me what all came out of that rig, rest assured it will "not" all be going into the new one!!! Oh, and "excitemnet" is to put it mildly!! We had to stop by the dealer Saturday while out for the weekend to make some measurements for decorating purposes and planned additions!!
