Seward is now $5.36 for diesel. Bernie is in Anchorage and he purchased an external fuel tank for the truck. I think it's 100 gallons. It will pay for itself in no time as the price difference between Anchorage (where we get fuel) and Seward is over 50 cents per gallon and the margin is widening...

Just came back from Ohio and average price there was $4.799 for diesel but on the way up Hwy 33 from Athens I noticed a station that had it for $4.429. Almost stopped but had just filled up before leaving Athens. Averaged $4.699 total on the trip to and from Ohio about two weeks ago! Not that bad considering the prices in Alaska and California!

Diesel today seen at $4.79 and $4.89
Gas today, lowest was $3.99, highest was $4.15. BOTH were at the SAME station about 3 hours apart. Believe me, it was not lower at the end of the day.

Just came home from downtown Chicago and filled up my wife's van for 401.9. Diesel was 465.9. Can't keep up with the yo-yo prices. Didn't fill up in Chicago but did notice that prices in Cook county were just a little more expensive than here at home. What was more surprising was the cost of diesel on the Illinois tollway was 469.9 which is real cheap for the tollway.

Diesel is 4.859 at Flying J in Thousand Palms, CA. Has been that price for the last several days with very little traffic at the station, both cars and semis.

Diesel in Bakersfield, CA is holding steady at $4.999 at lowest and most places selling it at $5.199. Nice that it is not going up but it is still ridiculously high!

Our beloved Unicameral (one house legislative here in Nebraska instead of the usual two house like all the other States) in it's last session voted on a $.03 tax increase in gas and diesel starting next week or the week following! THEN in about a month or a little more they have also put a 5% wholesale tax on the fuels coming from the depots. The total after the 3cnet increase will be $.27 per gallon tax. This is rediculas!!! I think it is time to round up the vigilantes and head down to Lincoln next unicameral session and straighten out a few of these guys and gals! The extra money is to be used for road improvements but that's what the last increase was for also and the roads have just gotten worse not better!! I think there is to much of this going into salaries and equipment. Know an employee and he said if they do not spend all their alloted monies to their division they loose it the next year and in most cased they are buying for the sake of buying and not need! The OLD equipment goes up for sale on a State equipment auction and they get back pennies on the dollar for them. Time to get off my soapbox and continue reading the other posts! Sorry!!

Gas and diesel have been level for the past two weeks. 4.17-gas. 4.89-diesel.
Rondo, those politicians must have 1. forgotten they are in an election year, and 2. had their head in the sand for the past 8 months and didn't realize what was happening out there in the real world.

Paid $4.49/gal for Diesel last night at a BP in Va Beach. Saw it as high as $4.89 at another station in the city.

4.67.9 - 480.9 and holding. This is only within a 20 mile radius of our humble abode and does not include Chicago or the immediate surrounding area. Can't wait until the 4th of July. Maybe I should top it off?
