Registration is now open for the 13th Annual MOC Western Region Spring Rally.
This year the rally will be held at Fireside Resort – Buffalo Valley, located outside Jackson Hole, WY., near Teton National Park, Yellowstone Nat’l Park, and Cody, WY. (the home of the Buffalo Bill Museum).
The sites are wide, gravel, with grass in between, with a beautiful view of the Tetons. It is in the country, 6 miles from the Moran junction, 33 miles from Jackson Hole, WYO., 11 miles from Jackson Lake, and 29 miles to Yellowstone Nat’l Park, and much more. This is a large campground, it sits in a high valley, and it has beautiful views all around.
All the rally sites are pull-throughs with full hook ups, campfire rings, free Wi-Fi, satellite friendly, cell phone service with LTE data. Laundry Room, Showers, Bath Rooms, Bar, Store, (which has some prepared food items), Propane, and Fuel, 30/50 Amp sites are available.
Additionally, there are 8 tent sites (located above our camp sites) for us to use for pot lucks, and our HAPPY HOURS.
We understand this is not our usual Rally venue, we were hoping to add a new dimension by having this rally in the great outdoors, located in one of the most popular attractions in the Country. The scenery is a view that can’t be told, it has to be experienced.

Reservations
All reservations must be made through Fireside Resort – Buffalo Valley. We have 40 sites reserved for our use. The sooner you register the better your chances of getting one.

After then, the empty sites will be released back to the park. They have a huge demand for sites and this is a condition of holding the rally here.

The cost for the 2017 Rally sites will be $59.00 + 15% tax per night for the 7 nights of the rally. The cost, before and after the rally dates is the same price if you wish to come early or stay longer. There is a 10% discount if you are a Good Sam member or a Veteran.
The deposit is 50% of your total projected bill. You will pay for the remainder of your balance upon your arrival.

Cancellation Policy
The park has a pretty liberal cancellation policy.
- More than 14 days before the rally, there is a $25 fee and your deposit is returned.
- 14 days before rally, you forfeit 50% of the deposit paid
- 0-7 days before the rally, there are no refunds
Additional Information (Please Read)
A vote was taken at the 2016, 7 Feathers rally to determine the group’s interest for future rally locations. It was decided by majority to look into having the 2017 rally at Blackwell RV Park, in Coeur d’Alene, IDAHO. We were unable to schedule our rally at that park during our time frame, but we did have a reservation, made in 2015, at Fireside Resort – Buffalo Valley and consequently it was decided to hold the rally there.
There were some concerns expressed about the RV Park. We understand there are several negative reviews. I called the park to verify these concerns and they recognized their reviews are terrible. The park has changed management and their name in 2016. The most recent negative reviews were made by a group of three campers who were escorted out of the park by the local police due to their behavior.
We visited this park last year and did a walk through with the manager, in our section of the park. We did not see any of the issues that were brought up in the reviews, there are three separate sections. Our rally is located in the east section (the right 3 rows in the picture below).
The park is in the country, 6 miles from the Moran junction, 33 miles from Jackson Hole,11miles from Jackson Lake, and 29 miles to Yellowstone Nat’l Park, with excellent paved access roads to all locations. Be aware the roads in the RV park will not be as smooth as a casino. The park is not of KOA quality, but it is a lot better because of the views. Be aware this is bear country so the garbage has to be secured, which is why it is by the office.
The Park will coordinate events for the whole or small groups to attend: i.e. Catered Meals, Lunch/Dinner Cruises, Lake Cruises, Gondola rides to top of Teton Mountains, Town attractions, Park attractions, plus many more options. We will have more information on these activities as we get closer to the rally dates.
As there is no clubhouse building for us to use, please bring an EZ-Up type awing if you have one. The plan is to use the tent area for shade, food, drink, pot lucks, and happy hours.
We strongly believe you are in for the experience of a lifetime in this area. And you can cross lots of things off your bucket list too.
