Have you been to a MOC Rally, noticed some attendees have unique and personalized lanyards and wondered where they came from? It turns out most of them originated at Quartzsite. After all, doesn't Quartzsite have everything you never knew you needed? Well, while you could possibly find lanyards in Q, most members made their own! They are relatively simple to construct and you don't have to be an experienced beader to do it. For the sixth consecutive year, our team of experienced volunteers are prepared to help and advise you in every facet of creation from acquisition through construction.
If you want to participate in this fun project, meet us Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the tent in the middle of the circle. Be sure to wear your name tag. We will get organized and travel into to town to purchase beads. We have a vendor who has worked with us in the past years to provide a wide selection of beads at a significant discount. We will need a few people to help drive the group to town and back. Our team of experienced beaders will come along to help you figure out what you need and assist in bead selection.
Then on Thursday at 10:00 AM, we will gather in the circle and construct the lanyards. Bring your beads and we will supply the rest of the needed materials. Once again, experienced beaders will be there to help in the construction.
You will be amazed at the inherent skills and artistic abilities you have and never knew about. Come join the group and build your own personalized lanyard so you too can be the envy of the next rally you attend!
Here are some lanyards created at a previous Quartzsite event.
