Dayton, OH?

Hi Everybody, It's me again. Will be taking our 13yo twin grandsons to Dayton, OH the week following 4th of July and having a tough time finding campgrounds around Dayton. Anyone have any suggestions for a campground within reasonable distance of Air Force Museum as I would just as soon as not spend all my money on diesel. Definitely must have swimming pool and WI-FI for me would be nice, but not essential. Thanks.

Just checked TL Directory and Brookvile, OH Dayton Tall Timbers KOA looks closest and meets your needs?! We want to stop and visit the museum in June, too.

Got to jump in here and suggest Tomorrow Stars in Springfield, it is a little closer to WPAFB and has what you need. Corner of rte 40 and I-70, easy on and off. Cost is also a big factor since the KOA (2years ago, haven't been back since) was $30 a night plus $2 each person over 2 in a camper, 3 nights cost us $96 with one g-child. Tomorrow Stars cost is $25 a night per unit. We spend a couple weekends there a year since my brother is a work camper and it is one of our RPI parks.
On the wi-fi, I'm not sure if they have it or not, we don't always use our lap top when we camp close by. We are going to T.S. for memorial weekend, I guess I could ask them and let you know, but that is waiting to the last minute to make reservations for a holiday week.
Hope this helped a little!

There is a Dayton KOA in Brookville, Ohio ..It will cost you over 50.00 per night regular rate. Tall Timbers Campground is up in Port Clinton, Ohio over 150 miles North. There is some confusion with CG names there. Steve gives good advise we have been to Tomorrow Stars on a couple of occasions..It will serve you well.

Sorry Rich, but the name of the Dayton KOA is Dayton Tall Timbers Resort KOA. It is not the one you are referring to in Port Clinton.

Once again MOCers come to the rescue. Almost had a heart attack when I checked the KOA and found it would cost $350 for a week. That is normally what we pay for a month. Going to give Tomorrow's Stars a call tomorrow. Sure hope I can get in. Should only cost about $250. That $100 will come in handy with the way the price of diesel is going. Thanks, again. Safe travels everyone.

Well that is confusing..The KOA website says..Dayton KOA and the 08 KOA Book Says Dayton KOA..No mention of Tall Timbers in either place. There is of course a Tall timbers in Port Clinton.Anyhow the Dayton KOA is about the most pricey KOA we have ever seen.

I was going by the name given in the Trailer Life directory and by the sign on I-70 at the cg. Didn't even look at the KOA directory since I'm not a member anyhow. Anyhoooo, it looks like sgtpp214 made his decision to go to Tomorrow Stars. Good choice!

YaHoo! Got a reservation at Tomorrow's Stars RV Resort this morning for 7/8-7/15. Completely forgot to ask what cost was but according to Woodall's price is $22-$30 per vehicle so even at the high end will save $140 over the KOA. Thanks for the suggestion.
