black tank flushing

I have a Montana 3400RL 2007 year model that I have used four times since July. Yesterday I was breaking camp and was using the black tank flush accessory and noticed water dripping down into the furnace area electronics board on the outside of the camper onto the ground at a pretty good clip. Repeated this process three times so I am confident the water is from the black tank flush accessory when used. I am taking back to the dealer for warranty work (i hope). Has anyone ever encountered this before? Just curious.

thanks

dawgspit,
First of all, that is a unique name, I know there is a good story behind it!
The white panel covering the left side of your valves access comes off, you will probably find the loose or leaking fitting there. That is, If you want to fool with it, sometimes the dealer is booked up for weeks, it would be a 1/2 hr job if you don't mind fooling with it. Make a note for the dealer if you do, as the water may have damaged something else in there. The circuit boards are potted, and resist water damage if a one time affair. Good luck with this and thanks for the heads up.

Dawgspit,

I agree with OZZ..... Great username.

There have been a number people report some problems with water input areas. Mostly the problem has been reported with the fresh water tank filler. The problem seems to have been a little bit of various things. Lots of posts on these various issues. If you haven't searched yet you might try that.

Good luck.

dawgspit,

If your '07 is like my '05, the ant siphon valve is in the wall just above the heater. Open the top cabinet to the right of the fridge and look for a plastic cover. Remove the cover and you should see the valve. You can check for loose fittings or see if the valve itself is leaking.
HTH,

Ken
