Took out the big TV today.

That Zenith tube job in my entertainment centre weighs 72 pounds.

My Son and I took it out of the trailer and put it in our family room.
It has a better picture than the set we had there. Two long screws in the bottom and one long screw in the side sets it free on an 06 2955RL

I am going to shop for an LCD or plasma thin set to fit in that 25 inch hole and I am going to put a towel closet in the huge space vacated by the old set. This is almost across from the shower so it is a perfect location. A lot of wires in the wall I will be cutting a hole into so I will use caution.

I have those two doors left over from my firepace install so I need to start another project to use them up.

I was pleasantly surprized to find the area behind the TV was clean.
A mess of wires to tidy up,but still clean.

Great Idea Don,

But you & I are getting to be too much like Ozz, Too much time Working on these things and posting them on this Forum
and not enough time out Camping.( ha ha )
Sometimes I think it's more fun working on them. Beats working for a living.

Take care, John

Thanks John & Dawn. Yes , working on an RV you like is a labor of love and I wish I had more motivation for the many stick house chores I have to do. Ozzie, that link is the perfect set for that spot. I saw a little wall mount tonight at Walmart that would work for that 23" Philips .

Also we like to watch TV while we sit at the table and those LCDs are nice for viewing at an angle.

If you have a store nearby (Circuit City or Costco), you may want to check viewing angles personally to make sure it'll work. LCD screens are notorious for this and I'd sure hate to see anyone unhappy with a purchase of that size.
I was reading some reviews of that product over at Amazon and it's looks as though the broadcast picture can be a little grainy, but hooked up to a dvd the pitcure is unbelieveably realistic (tweaking needed maybe?).
Also - the small size of the on screen display is getting some complaints. It may or may not have been fixed yet.
I've been eyeing that unit for some time...and that is the best price I've been able to find from Costco too. The next closest is over $100 more ($699 @ Circuit City).

Thanks for the good info Ozzie. Whatever unit I buy for the Montana I intend to use somewhere in the house. I have lot's of time to find something that will work and I plan to use a wall mount bracket that I will build into the space available.

The big Zenith that came with the Montana actually puts out a decent picture but I am not putting it back in the trailer. Too heavy and bulky and the side screw was coming loose. I could fix that but I want that towel closet and an LCD and the kids needed a better TV in the family room and now they have it.
