New Rims
After running Goodyear G614's on TR6 wheels for over 4 years and 30,000 miles I'm thinking about investing into wheels that are actually rated for 110PSI. We're planning a fairly long trip next year and I don't want to worry about wheels cracking.
Anyone out there recommend a certain wheel? I'd appreciate a price and were I can locate them. We have a 3400RL.

Try Tredit Tire the folks who sell the tires and rims to Keystone. They offered a good deal on wheels and stainless lug nuts at last years rally. I got the lug nuts, didn't need the rims.

If you check with your rim manufacturer, you may find your rims are rated at 110psi. Sometime in 06 or 07, they started using rims that were actually rated for 110 but labeled as 80.

If you check you should have 110psi rated rims. I have them and my 3400RL was built Feb 2007.

Thanks Dick, Tom I did back in 08' if fact I have a letter from Missy at Tredit Tire saying that they we're recertified but now I read here on the forum that the recert. has been retracted.

When I had the G614's mounted,I looked at the bare rims and there weren't markings any where on spokes, backside absolutely no where.

They are not rated for high pressure tires, I would not chance it any longer. I agree with Dick, go with the Treadit wheels.

I just bought a set of the same wheels that come on the new trailers. They are rated for 110psi, and were $65 a piece. The older style were recertified for 110psi, but later the certification was pulled per Tredit.

I bought Alcoa wheels from Southwest Wheel. They are pricey but made in USA. The only thing I don't like about them is the plastic lug covers.

Alcoa makes a great wheel. Steel wheels are still the best. They aren't pretty but pretty is as pretty does.

The above writers are correct in that Tredit pulled the certification for the TR6 wheels. They sold me 5 TO4 wheels for $65.00 each and I had to pay to have them switched out. TO4's are rated for 110 psi. I never ran mine at that high a pressure in our G614RST's as the Goodyear tire and loading charts for our weight of trailer had me inflating to 90-95 psi. REMEMBER THIS: The MAXIMUM rating for the tire (G614RST) is 110 but you should run whatever the tire and loading charts say for your weight of trailer. This is the correct way of doing it. Others may say air them suckers up to the max all the time, if you do and you hit a hard bump you will excee the load rating and possibly have a blowout.....
