Water softners

Has any used a water softner in thier 5er? Were fulltime in ND with hard water.

We use the "on-the-go" brand purchased at Camping World 3 years ago. Recharge it once or twice a month with table salt and your good to go. If you look closely in the photo below you can see it sitting beside the 5er (blue tank).

We have used the Travel Soft brand for about 8 years and find it very helpful. You do have to use either rock salt or solar salt, but it works good.

You guys talked me into. Ordered on-the-go from Camping World today. Checked all around and they were the best price, normally I can do better somewhere else.
