Air Force Academy FAMCAMP
Final report...great place. Wooded, plenty of room, really large sites, great hosts, convenient to C.Springs. A/D and Retirees and spouses can eat in the Academy Prep School dining facility. Costs ~ $5.00 for TWO for dinner or lunch. Breakfasts are even a bit less "expensive".
Only drawback is the train noise now and then. The tracks are about 500 yds away, and there seems to be a requirement for them to blow the whistle in this area. Also, no wi-fi or high speed modem hook-up.
