More than one China Bomb out there....
.44 Magnum accident
First it was baby formula, then pet food, but now you should Watch out when buying anything from China ,
including bright, Shiny ammunition.
A guy came into the police department the other day to ask a favor.
He had a S&W 629 (.44 Mag) that he wanted to dispose of after a mishap at the range.
He said there was a loud bang when he tested his new ammo (Chinese made), and the gun smacked him in the forehead.
Leaving a nice gash. When the tweety birds cleared from around His head, the pictures show what he saw.
Bet he never uses Chinese made ammo again!
Looks like when the round in the chamber went off, It also set off at least two other rounds in adjacent cylinders.
I would have hated to been the one that pulled the trigger on That one!
(Stolen from the Internet)

That was an expensive gun he lost because he bought cheap ammo. Lucky he didn't at least loose his hand.

Hey Ozz. I was trying to send a link to this thread to a friend. He couldn't open it without being a MOC member, so I tried a google search so I could send the link and came up with this: http://www.craigboyce.com/w/2011/04/...ammo-accident/ Don't know if their take on this is valid. Interesting story either way.

Yes, that doesn't surprise me. It is easy to blame it on China I guess, either way, the double load makes sense. Glad the shooter didn't get hurt too bad.

This is one of those urban myths that just won't die!!! These pictures have been circulating for nearly 3 years now and I've seen all kinds of reason why the gun blew up.
Failure was caused by reloaded ammo and the gun belonged to an Alaskan State Trooper. As for Chinese ammo - try to find some in 44 mag - you won't because there isn't any. The Chinese get blamed for a lot of stuff that is their fault, but this wasn't one of them.

He should have used one of my powder measures. Well actually he could have double charged a load or powder could have hung up in his measure then drooped two or more charges in a case at once. A iot of pistol powders are very fast burning so you use small charges and it would be easy to double charge.
Did you know that your car and truck air bags have some type of gun powder like material in them? I know because we sell our pistol measures by the dozens to load air bags. Most go Mexico a few to Washington state and a few to China.

Interesting, I used to load my own after I got out of the Navy, I have a Model 19 S&W .357 all tricked out. Love that gun.
I did not know about the air bag technology. You have a well rounded business.

Yes Ozz I had no idea either. I can just imagine 50 Mexican women setting in a row charging air bags. I was blown away by it.

Ozz, I have a not-tricked out 19 & love it too. One I won't trade or sell.

Hey, I think it's not fair (or nice) to blame 50 Mexican women either. They could be my relatives.
