Curb side regulator help
As I remember it, a number of folks have had issues with this regulator. i think the diaphragm on mine may be out. It occurred to me that some folks on here felt that it wasn't necessary at all. I'm really not a gas guy, but like everything else in this lifestyle I'm going to have to learn. What should i replace it with?

By "not necessary" I assume you are talking about the infamous little red regulator valve, not the selector valve. Mine is on the street side.
If that is the one, it was discussed not too long ago and I provided info from the National Fire Protection Association showing where it was required by their standard for RVs. I will see if I can find that thread.

Yes, I'm not talking about the selector valve, on mine that's on the street side. I'm fine with replacing it, but I need to know what to replace it with and where to get one. When I go on line there are a number of similar looking things coming in different PSI's and like I said, I'm a newbie working with gas. Also is there anything I should know about putting the new one on (pipe dope, plumbers tape or whatever I need to understand)?

Here is that thread.
It has been several years since I replaced mine, but I believe was this Marshall valve or similar. Maybe someone else can verify that. Mine began leaking propane out the small vent hole on the bottom. Other than using pipe tape or dope specifically for gas it was pretty straight forward.

Thanks for everything! This appears to be the same valve on Amazon a good deal cheaper: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QZCTVQQ...I1MRXQFV9NPGH4
Am I correct?

Use Teflon Tape on the threads, just make sure it's the tape for Gas and not water. I think mine for gas is on a Red spool, while the one for water is Blue, BUT don't quote me.

The 30 means regulated to 30 psi and that is what you want.

Just make sure that you order the right valve, so you have the proper thread size at the inlet and outlet. Some have pipe threads at both sides, and some may come with an inverted flair on one side with a pipe thread on the other.
