New 3400RL

Ozz, you asked me how my search for a new unit was going.Yesterday I did what I once told Richfaa to do and that was "to write the check and don't look back". You know timing is everything. Someone ordered a unit in that had all the options including a 7kw generator, washer and dryer and 2nd air. The dealer took it to a cabinet shop and had a dish washer installed. The people gave up their deposit and walked away. Your dealer made me a offer that I could not refuse. When my wife saw that dish washer I knew that I was going to have to reach for that check book. I delivered our unit today and will pick up the new one Friday.

CONGRATULATIONS! Be sure and post pictures - especially of the dishwasher. I think that is a first for the 3400. Oh no now we are giving Ozz ideas and maybe Steve also (he is the chief dishwasher). I'm thinking you had to give up a lot of storage space so let us know.
Happy trails....................

You have to give up the lazy susan for the dish washer. I will post some pictures when we pick it up.

Congratulations on your new trailer! It sounds like it has everything. Will be a pleasure to travel with all the niceties. What kind of pin weight do you have with the 3400RL's. I'm wondering those of you who are using 2500HD 4x4 d/a aren't seriously over on your pin weight. Just wondering. My 2880RL has a pin weight of 2160#, but I also have a generator up front. I'm afraid to look at the new 2007's because I'll want one. Good luck with your new trailer and enjoy.

Congratulations!! Sometimes the best deals are the ones you trip over. Might say a blind hog can find an acorn now and then. Happy RVing....

Great deal! My wife is waiting for the pictures of the dishwasher. She also has her eye on a washer/dryer combo. I gotta hide the VISA.

He came by the house and met Sue and I.

Ozz,I enjoyed meeting the two of you also. We will be at the dealer tomorrow at 9AM. We both are getting pretty exicited, hope I can sleep tonight. I might not be able to sleep thinking about that check I am going to have to write tomorrow. What the heck, you only get to make one trip on the merry go round.

Congratulations, Dennis and Linda! And, Naylor's is an excellent dealership. We bought our last two Montanas from them. Good luck with it and hope you enjoy it.

Thanks Steve, Barry asked me if I knew you. We were happy to get it even if it was Friday the 13th of October. Only found 2 things wrong the Black shipping tap on the bottom of the door that dsprik had problems with. The other was they did not have the drain hose for the frig out through the vent. We spent the night in it at the house and for a test I only ran the fireplace heater and the heat strip on the front air. It got down to 29 last night and the unit never got below 69 inside. I am impressed with that. It has the new Carrier low profile unit on the front that is only 7.5 inches high. I was also impressed with how much warm air it puts out. I am going to see how the furnace works tonight.

Well ole Rich did write the check and has never looked back. The 3400 is a great unit. We are disappointed in the quality of the workmanship but we knew that up front. 5 months into ownership and many camping trips and no 'major" problems. We are continually improving, repairing, upgrading but that is all part of owning a camper. This one is no different than all the others we have owned. This forum and the collective experience and expertise of the members makes a big difference.
