2014 NE Rally Wrap Up/2015??

We were honored to host the 2014 Northeast MOC Rally this year. It gives us a GREAT joy to see the seasoned attendees welcome the newbies to these fabulous camping experiences. We come as individuals but leave as family and as we meet at more of these gatherings, we become closer friends.

George and Rosetta, thanks for the pictures.

Sorry that we did not post rally happenings during the week. A lightening strike close by wiped out the WIFI.

We are laying plans for a 2015 rally at the KOA in Watkins Glen, New York. This is an extremely nice campground with an indoor heated pool and hot tub. The area is abundant with things to do. Nothing definite yet. We will be contacting the campground shortly and will be letting you know. Many of you expressed an interest in being there next year. NICE!!!

So, after a trip to Ocean City, MD this week and next with our son, daugher-in-law and 18 month old grand son (I can't wait to show him the ocean along with the world's BIGGEST sandbox!!), we will be off to the Tennessee Rally to do more of the same - meet new people, see old friends and EAT!!!! If you happen to be at the Castaways in Ocean City over the 4th, please stop and say hello.

John and Judy Michaels

John, the last time we hosted a rally at a KOA they required a non-refundable deposit for every site you wanted reserved and gave 30 days for everyone to register for the event...even though it was 6 months away....so be careful...maybe it was just the particular KOA....otherwise the location sounds good and will plan to head that way in 2015...that is wine country....

We're still at the Old Mill Stream Campground and the wifi just came back up today! Thank you John and Judy for a great rally......AGAIN! It was super to get together with old friends and to meet several new friends. Except for the 'big bang' of lightning the weather was perfect. We hope everyone had a safe and uneventful trip home or to your next destination. Looking forward to Pigeon Forge!

LOVE the Watkins Glen area! So much to do! Wine trail,, beer trail, gorgeous state parks and water falls and some great places to eat! Hopefully our schedule will work out so we can attend!

Thank you John and Judy for setting this up and to all of you "seasoned" travelers that offered us so much of your knowledge. It was fun to meet everyone and we learned a lot. Added quite a few things to our "must have/wish list". I wish we could make it to another rally this year but it doesn't look like any of the dates work for us. We are definitely interested in Watkins Glen or that area for next year. With enough notice we should be able to work it in. The fact that it is wine country is a nice bonus:-) Now if we can just find someplace for country western dancing around there......

The Watkins Glen area sounds really interesting, John! Although I have never attended a regional rally, that is one that I would make every attempt to attend. Please keep us updated on dates and reservation info.
