I have a single door Norcold model # N811 refrigerator that stopped cooling. There is no yellow residue present, the burner gets hot and the thermistor works properly. It doesn't work on either gas or electric. Any suggestions?

Point of clarification Jim. You are saying the burner comes on and stays on but the unit will not cool down? When on a/c is the electrical element coming on and staying on but not cooling? If that's the case it sounds like the cooling unit must be plugged up. Some have had luck turning the unit upside down for a while then reinstalling. I wasn't that fortunate as mine actually leaked, yellow residue and strong smell of ammonia. Jim

Agree, sounds like a clogged cooling unit.

That is exactly the same condition we had on our Norcold 1210 in January, that we had fixed while at the Clark County Shooting Complex. No cooling while in either mode, and the fellow that came out from Desert Mobile RV could tell from feel in the back that there was a plug in the system. Unfortunately, the replacement Norcold cooling unit didn't last five months, when it developed a leak, and had to again be replaced. Good luck.
