We don't turn off the power booster until the antenna is down. Little green light will tell me to check if it is down. Always, well most times, do a look see before we leave. Take a few steps back and just look. Works well for us.

Helen has a thingy that she hangs off the antenna handle..can't miss it..I have left the steps down on a previous camper and bent them pretty good.

we have done this one time too many. I always try to look at people leaving campgrounds to catch them if they left their antennas up, it is a common mistake. It makes you feel real dumb.

List is too long to list. You name it and I have forgot it. So now, If any interruptions, I start over. I walk the trailer inside before extending or retracting slides. Always have wife on the outside of side that is usually close to power pole to rap on side if i get closer the 12". Also after I think I am really to pull out. I always take a 5 to ten minute sit at the picnic table, then do one last visual walk around double checking. Surprising what one finds they didn't do that way.

I hang my truck keys from it. Then I can't remember where my keys are! But I remember to lower the antenna.
