Galley Exhaust Fan Conversion

many moons ago, someone posted a procedure to make the exhaust fan a 2-speed fan by adding some resisters and a single-pole, double-throw, center-off switch. I did the conversion and it worked great.

Now I want to share the procedure with a friend but can't find it. Does anyone remember who posted that and can I get another copy of the post?

This may be what you're after - it came from the "other" forum, though.

Fan Switch ??

That's one option. I opted to replace the fan altogether with a computer case fan. It's only 1 speed, but much quieter and moves almost the same amount of air. I posted the info a while back, but it may be under the header of bathroom fan.

By the way, the fan for both the bathroom vent and the stove vent are the same unit, so whatever modification you do to one, you can probably also do to the other for similar results.

VanMan,

Thanks, That was the link I was looking for. I printed the directions and plan to keep them this time.

Thanks again,
