My annual accomplishment

The snow is piling up outside, temperature is in the teens, Monty is in mini-storage, and I am trying to come up with any post that can satisfy my need for some kind of a camping fix. Started rubbing my head for ideas, then a major realization struck me. I have managed to go an entire camping season without the obligatory head strike on the bottom of a slide-out or the king-pin. Now granted, I realize that I have now jinxed myself for the coming Spring, but I am proud of the fact that I think I have learned the proper areas that require ducking around the rig (and I didn't even have to borrow Richfaa's idea of wearing a hard-hat!!!!)

Now that is an accomplishment to be proud of. I rarely get through a month with out cracking my noggin on the slide. For me to get through an entire season would be a miracle.

Naw, it's nothing you did different Bingo. I took the hit for you early in the spring, right after I took my own. You were off the hook last year.

I took your pain man!

And I definitely appreciate it Brad!! Now all that is left after jinxing myself is to get someone to take the hit this year??? I would ask one of those warm-weather chasin' types that seem to revel in our wintry punishment, but they are probably too busy enjoying our summer temps in the South now!! Ha!!!

Can't help you this year Bingo. I keep a list inside the cabinet door. Once I take your pain, you move to the bottom of the list.

You don't meet the qualifying criteria anyway Brad, I am seeking one of those "SNOWbird" types who flee the northern weather, not us types who just stay home and weather out the snow, ice, freezing temps, cold toes, etc. etc. while waiting for the Spring to go camping. If there are any takers, please post photos unless of course blood was drawn,

Bingo, after last years trip to the er, I'm not going to volunteer to take one for you! That was a bad one, no stitches, but they did use some kind of glue, ha ha ha!

Now Bingo, Brad, Emmel and others...Look at pix and let me know if I am a viable candidate or not...no, not Judy, the guy on the right with shine above the eyebrows! I still hit, even if it's right in front of me. I'm not a snobird though, just happen to be a Floridian that doesn't know any better. Dennis

Bingo, I guess I could qualify as a snowbird, coming from Alaska in '07 I haven't seen real snow since AND just the other day, while dumping the tanks, I braised my head on the slide. No pain, mind you, but IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE.

Do they build real fires in the Cracker Barrel’s down south? Oh the joy of winter!

I always use the noodles for swimming pools on the corners of the bedroom slide. They seem to work pretty good but then I haven’t hit my head on the corners yet since I started using them.
