Hardeeville RV - South Carolina
Located about 10-15 minutes from Historic Savannah, this campground offers a rustic quality. It is a no frills campground. There is no store, showers, or swimming pool. But there is a quality that you can only find "in the woods."
The hosts are gracious and accommodating. When I pulled in I was asked if I was going to set up satellite. Since they have cable I declined an open site and got nestled into a nice shady spot. The sites are gravel/rock and are fairly level, with full hook-ups. There is plenty of space between sites. The nearest camper to me is 40 feet away. There is a laundry with outside vending machine for drinks, and a freezer chest full of ice bags with a lock box on the wall with a sign, "Ice $1." Nice trust if you ask me.
There are walking roads and trails with abundant wooded areas. At night it's the crickets, and in the mornings it is the tweeting of the birds.
This is a great jumping off point for the tourist areas of Savannah, Hilton Head Island, Parris Island, Beaufort, and other towns around the area with scenic attractions.
