2010 Big Sky
Has anyone else noticed the side walls on the slide outs do not match the full body paint on the 2010 Big Sky? I saw a new black and gray Big Sky this morning and immediatley noticed the white side walls against that beautiful paint job. Is Keystone going to continue this practice or match the side walls to the paint job? Anyone heard?

That would stick out a little against a beautiful painted sidewall. I would think they would be correcting this one. Good catch Montana Sky! If I was looking at a new one I would want the slide outs painted a darker color so they would at least blend in a little bit.

Sky,
Sure hope they change the sides to match the paint. Could it be, the paint won't hold up sliding against the rubber gaskets while going in and out???

Love the full body paint, buuut we no like the stark contrasting white panels. Even a light grey would soften the look. Hopefully this MOC thread will help convince Keystone of the need to change.

I think you have hit on something here. Seems those panels would have to come from the factory with a gray tint added to the mix. I can see many scratches if just painted. I could be dead wrong here.

The entire coach has to be painted so I see no reason as to why the slide outs cannot be painted to match. There are other high end fifth wheels that have the slides painted to match. Many class A's as well... I was just surprised by this oversight.

Sky, we just saw the new Big Sky with the new paint job at the Tampa show, there was no difference on that one. Could it be that they might have missed the inspection on some?
The one we saw was beautiful, real nice!!!!!

It may be that the one shown was one of the very first painted units and it's possible that they have now caught this problem and they are now painting the sides?

I have built many race cars in my time. Keystone can purchase the aluminum in any color they want. It comes prepainted and baked on.It shouldn't scratch at all. The problem may lay in the fact that it is more costly to buy it in color. Could be a cost saving effort on there part. Just an idea.

Champ, that is not aluminum sides to the slides. It is more of a plastic than metal.

I noticed the KZ Escalade with full body paint has the slide outs painted to match. Just confirms it can be done.
