Old Bube Tube TV Out in Bedroom
This is our first try with putting a picture in so hopefully all can see our modification to bedroom TV. We took out the heavy bube tube TV and put in a 24 in LED Toshiba. Routered 3/8 inch groove in the back of the door for the TV to sit in flush. We decided to go with the separate DVD player because if one breaks the other still works. We think it turned out well..

Bullroc3, you will in PA. I am going to try to shrink a pic of our truck and Rv and put it in our signature since I was able to get the modification of the TV on. I have read the instructions on the MOC and going to give it a try soon. Wish we could be at the Goshen Rally but will be in Lancaster for sure! Have fun...

Yes that is where the old TV was. It was one of those big square one. Weighed about 50 lbs or so.

The model of the TV is a Toshiba 24SL4I0U. We did have to cut about 1 inch of width from the door just where the TV was going. Then routered with a round over to match the top and bottom from the orginial door. I put a piece of oak board between the TV and DVD and stained it to match. That took up the extra room height wise from the old tv. On the back of the door I routered a 3/8 grove for the TV to sit in flush. I used the orginial shelf in back of door and made a box on top of it to hold the DVD. The top of the box supports the bottom of the TV. I did have to cut the Box on an angle on the right side so when the door closes it did not hit. Hope this all makes sense to you. If you have any questions along the way feel free to ask or PM me. I will try to post a pic of the back on the site and you will be able to get a visual how I did the back. It is amazing how light the door is now when you swing it out to view from the bed. I wish I had taken a before and after pic.
