Sharp Micro Component System

Hi...I just purchased a 2006 Mountaineer 329RLS.
It has a Sharp Mirco Component System built in it.

I can't find any switches to turn the speakers off in the bedroom.

Any ideas???

Thanks Al

Still no luck...Al

Thanks for all the help. It looks like I will be installing a switch to correct the problem...

Al,
Just an idea, some of those systems have an option in their set up mode to select speakers A or B or A+B. Look for something like that where you can select which speakers you would want A being the main speakers in the living room and B being the bedroom speakers and A+B being both. Just a thought.

Al,our on/off switch is on the ceiling beside the handle for the tv antenna. Not real sure of your model, but ours is a 3280, so they put them in different places. Good luck hunting!

I see Keystone still hasn't installed a switch yet in the Mountaineers. On ours I installed a speaker switch from Radio Shack inside the entertainment cabinet on the ceiling of the space directly below the stereo. I pulled out the stereo, scoped out the wires and then ran them thru a hole under the stereo shelf. I used a switch that has 3 settings...front, rear, both.

Hope this helps.

Do you have any problems with the radio reception with this unit?
I have a Sharp stereo and the first one was installed with a screw through the bottom into the CD drive. "Replaced". The second would get no AM radio signal. "Replaced". The third gets some signal but my boombox has a better reception. I extended the antenna up and away from the unit and it helps a little.

In my mountaineer, the sound in the bedroom was WAY louder than the sound in the living room, so for right now I just unplugged the wires from the back of the stereo that go to the bedroom speakers. I really should install a switch as others have written.

Hi.. sorry for slow response but it has been too cold to go out in the trailer. Our cheap Sharp stereo doesn't sound too bad and the reception is quite good. It sure doesn't appear to be a great stereo tho. It will do for now...later..Al and Judy
