Montana 3160 - One Month Review

Well, it's hard to believe we have had #3 for a month already. I thought I would give a brief review of our experience to date. First, it is definitely shorter on the outside, but doesn't feel that way on the inside. The floorplan really fits us well. We especially like the level up, heated theatre seating, LED lighting above the slide and the entertainment centers. Terrie likes having a pantry and the king bed (upgraded to Denver Mattress inner spring euro top). The microwave is the quietest we have heard. The new 4' shower is really nice. Fuel economy is up about 10%. Fit and finish appear to be improved. We have had a few minor issues that are scheduled to be taken care of Thursday at our dealer. Among them, the rear camera went out, main A/C is throwing an error code, the ladder broke and the propane detector went out. If it continues to be as comfortable, the issues get resolved, we will be very happy.

Glad to see you are enjoying your new unit. Ours is in the shop also as it has a few minor issues and a couple that are probably not to easy to fix. We only used ours one weekend but overall we really liked it.

Glad to hear about the successful trip! We recently finish our two week 1800 mile maiden voyage, We too have it back at the dealer to address a few minor issues and also address a very slight oil leak on one of the LevelUp cylinders.

Ours came with a king bed in it as well, but we decided we liked the extra space in the room provided by a queen bed, so we put in a Sleep Number queen. We love everything about the 3160 from the floor plan to all of the "deluxe accommodations".

Sounds like no major issues and your dealer is on top of it.

Based on comments about the camera already, make sure the dealer removes the constant supply voltage from it and wires it to the backup voltage source as directed by supplier of camera or make keystone replace it with a unit that can be powered up full time. John

Fordman1966, there were two remotes and two power supplies in the console. When I pulled out the theatre seating, there were two plug ins on each seat, one for the controller and one for the power supply. Update on the camera - our dealer put in the upgraded system. The A/C was a loose neutral wire. Still waiting on a new ladder (bottom step broke). We have over twenty nights in the new unit and absolutely love it.

What camera did the dealer put in for you? Mine is supposed to be replaced but I would assume that it will just get another reverse camera.

Tom, it is a Furrion with the antenna on both the monitor and camera. Stronger signal and didn't lose contact once driving home.

Looking forward to it, Steve. We will have the Rocky Mountain Regional rally, then stop and see the kids/grandkids along the way and hope to be in Goshen on Sunday ahead of the rally. If you need any pre-help, let us know.

My wife and I are seriously considering ordering a 2016 3160RL or we were also considering a 3611RL. You stated that the heated floors didn't work that good. If you were to buy it over, would you have gotten the legacy package or left it out? Also, how do you like the outside entertainment and its location? We were looking at ordering pretty much loaded with the exception of the generator and the king bed. Since we have a queen in our home, my wife would rather have a little extra room so making the bed is easier. One final question, do you find the floor plan spacious enough or would you look at something like the 3611 in the future?
Thank you
