3400 slide sequence

After returning from our "big adventure" we noticed that when we opened the slides that the sequence had changed. It used to be bedroom, kitchen, TV, couch, and would close in the same order. Now it sometimes is bedroom, kitchen, couch, TV and sometimes when closing either the TV or couch would only close partially until the other slide started to close.

As long as they close I guess I shouldn't be too concerned, or should I?

I really don't think you should be concerned, it is a hydraulic system and like electricity it takes the path of least resistance. If your rig is not quite level and the living room slide is a bit higher it will start coming in sooner than the desk or kitchen. Ours is usually bdrm, kitchen, desk, couch. But sometimes as soon as the smallest(bdrm) gets in the desk will start in followed by the kitchen. We have had the couch slide start in early but that was because we weren't even close to level, it was the last site in the CG and we got in late in the day, so we setup for the night and left first thing in the morning. If the rig is level then it will usually be bdrm, kitch, desk, couch. In this situation it just depends on how heavy each slide is... Dave

Like Dave said, ours does the same thing. If at an angle, the rear slides change sequence whenever they feel like it. I figure as along as it gets back to 8-1/2 feet wide so I fit on the highway and I"m not drenched in hydraulic oil, its still magic.

Our started doing the same thing now we just make a game out of it trying to guess which one will go next. The only thing that is for sure is the bedroom is always first!

I agree it is path of least resistance closing first but I do wonder if you have applied any lubrication to them? that may contribute to the increased resistance on the TV slide.
Cheers,

3400 bedroom, kitchen, opposing, main slide. That can be altered depending on how out of level side to side the camper is.It does not take much and usually it is the opposing and main slide that will change sometimes both operating at the same time.

Thanks to all. Our concern was because initially, when we parked in our driveway, it followed the first sequence mentioned, without being leveled. The drive is the only place we noticed the problem. When at a campground, because it's level, we don't have this situation. I probably should lube the slides as they have not been since we took delivery in February. Thanks again.

Like others said, ours open by path of least resistance. To test that I once put pressure on a slide outside and, sure enough, it caused a different slide to start coming out. I couldn't stop the slide but that pressure was enough to get another slide going when normally it would wait.
