Well I though IKE would have left all the rain in Texas? He came over us here in Malakoff, Tx we got lots of rain all day yesterday but the wasn't as bad as forecast. But today the Sun is out and very nice. GBY....

Well, "Post-tropical depression" Ike has made it into our area of Southern Ontario now. Traveling at 55 mph, it will pass through quickly we hope. South winds of 60 to 70 mph expected this evening. Nothing like Texas, but still enough to make us cautious. It will probably get Lake Erie quite rough.

We are sitting between Goshen (Glenn) and Ontario (OntMont). We are getting a bucket load, okkkkk, a inch or more, of rain, had a few blasts of wind, and hopefully, it is bout over. In the last 36 hours we have received a bit over 5 inches of rain. The pond is more full than it was 2 days ago.

Think the rain has stopped, still blowing a bit, temps dropped. We actually did not get as much rain as they said we could get. Things were dry, a bit much at one time, but still welcome.

Houston IAH is supposed to start limited air traffic on Monday. I think it is after we lift off in Hong Kong. It will be interesting to see if we can get into the airport and then to the hotel where the truck is parked and then get out of Houston.

Nothing exciting here, It went through pretty fast..Some good wind gust and a couple of BOOM, BOOM's as high tension lines about 1/4 of a mile behind us touched..a few power outages. still a pretty good line of storms a bit to the west of us but nothing out of the ordinary.

NEWS FLASH!!! Fairborn, OH. 50-70 mph winds since about 2:30, no rain just wind. Power off on Wright Patterson AFB. We have pulled out the ole Honda 2000 and are using that to watch TV and make Ice. Hopefully power will be back on soon as I don't have a lot of gas for the Gen. Sure comes in handy though. Weather alert in effect until 9:00 pm local. Seems to be dying down now. Had to bring in slides on street side as they were being lifted up and down inside and didn't want to damage any of the slide mechanisms.......Glad no rain as of yet......

I would have paid for all the rain that you guys are getting. We had very little wind and nada in the rain department. Austin area just can't seem to do any kind of rain dance that works.

Well...we noted nothing exciting in our little area but this morning we wake uo to a large part of our city without power, schools closed all over the place due to no power, trees down due to high winds. It was a bad pass through of IKE and we never noticed anything. We are normal......

Woke up this morning and still no power. Fire up the Honda for toaster, hair dryer and internet. My EMS is reading 62 volts from park pedestal, so I guess they are working on it. That sounds like emergency power only. Won't plug back into pedestal until I get the ole 110 or higher. Heard a lot of businesses are still without power.....Cloudy today also, but no rain in forecast. Hopefully it's a done deal......We did have a rather large limb from a tree break and fall to ground, no damage to anyone, but three of us pulled it to the end of the park so it couldn't roll around and damage something. I think the whole base is powerless.......

We had the wind but not the rain here in Troy Ohio, yesterday. Today we started at around 9 this morning and just now came in from cutting up trees that fell. We were without power for 23 hours, but the ole Kipor came in real handy. We even have the neighbors meat in our freezers, may have to charge some steaks for the space, HAH! We are just thankful the winds only reached 80mph in gusts and not continually. We are very lucky compared to the Texans, we feel real sorry for their losses.
