Hitch LED stuck ON, remote doesn't work

The LED light above the 5th wheel hitch is stuck in the ON position. The battery in the remote seems to be OK. The remote doesn't activate anything. Could it be the 15 amp fuse at the master control?

Regarding the remote, you might try resetting it...instructions on how to set it should be on the remote.

The instructions on the back of the remote have mostly rubbed off. I peeled the instruction label off and stuck it inside a cabinet door to preserve what's left of it. It came new that way. Anyway, the lettering is very obscure. If someone could type in the instructions that would be cool.

I found the instructions for resetting the remote inside the Monte, on the receiver above the batteries. I have had to replace the batteries often.

Hope that helps.

On our remote, "to turn wireless system on:" 1) Press and release LCI button. 2) Press and release ON button. The remote should now be active...note that after about five minutes it will automatically turn itself off and to turn it back on, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.

LoneRanger,
Here is a link to the owner's manual for the remote and fob: Remote Operation. Also, if you try the reset procedure and you can't get the red light to illuminate on the transmitter, disconnect all power (120 and 12V) for 15 to 20 minutes. Reconnect the power and try again. I too have had to replace the battery often in the key fob. Here is another link talking about the power removal: http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=39684 Hope this helps.

After a lot of technical testing, etc, ($$$) it was discovered that the LED hitchlight was erroniously wired into the doorside flood light. When the hitchlight got stuck in the on position, so did the DS flood. Not too advisable especially when dry camping. So I replaced the DS flood bulb, disconnected the hitchlight (who needs it anyway) tossed the remote in the bottom drawer and we're good to go. Keystone needs to improve on this one.

I think the Hitch led is wired in the same cicuit as the DS flood intentionally. Mine is wired that way too. If the flood is turned on via the remote, the wall switch will not turn it off, need to use the remote.
