Calling all MOUNTAINEER 305RLT owners..

Greetings & Happy New Year,

First post by newbie. Would love to hear from all current and previous owners of the Mountaineer 305RLT about your experiences, both good & bad, with this unit.

It must be a very popular floor plan as the only unit I could find is 100 miles away! We're driving out tomorrow to "get a feel" for it.

Would especially like to hear how you "optioned" your unit, and what you would add or delete if doing it again.

Thanks in advance..

Hey there My husband and I bought our Mountaineer 305RLT while we were on vacation the end of August. We had been looking at 5th wheels for a while and this was not on our list but when we walked in and saw it we new it was the one!!! It is a great floor plan and just the right size for us. We have the Hickory Edition and it is very good quality. We bought it while on vacation with our TT and did not trade in so we had to come home and go back to pick it up (210 miles away) We picked it up in September 11th and have camped 5 times since we picked it up. So far we love it. We tow with a GMC 3500 DRW, no problems except we have a bed cover and the 1st trip we cut too deep and caught the bed cover rail with the pin box My husband raised the 5th wheel up a notch and now we know to watch for this. We do not have a generator and our next big purchase will be a small portable generator. Hope you will enjoy yours... Happy Camping.
