New Waterpump won't work
I have a 2014 Mountaineer with a project Waterpump. Have not used it at all. Filled watermark completely, turned on all faucets, and turned on pump. I can hear it but no water flowing after 5~7 minutes. Any thoughts

Something plugging the line from the tank or a pinched line from tank to pump. Wonder if you can access the line from the tank and blow air back toward the tank to prove it clear? You might even have a loose fitting allowing a bit of air, which would not let pump suck water to the pump. Another thought, is the tank fill valve in the proper position? If in the fill position, don't think the pump will move water.

It should be behind the convenience center, assuming there is one on your rig. It is accessed by removing the white plastic wall barrier and is normally screwed to the floor where all the plumbing is located. I guess your first post was 'you filled the water tank' not 'watermark'?

Don't think it matters at this point. Just make sure your fill valve is in the normal position, open any faucet, and turn on pump. If you have an outside fill port, might loosen the cap, otherwise, let it run a bit, may take a couple of minutes if everything else is working. If you've never used the pump, I guess it could have a stuck valve inside, but give it a chance. Good luck.

Is the 10 gallon water heater filling up as this will take all the pressure and water. Just wondering?

Great input. Thank you but still no success. Is the antifreeze value you mention in the area where all the hose attachments are. I don't see it and when I left dealership they flicked a switch where I never had to worry about having hot water. It would always be on.Could that be a cause?

Jay the anti-freeze valve is the female faucet in the convenient center that has Winterization next to or above it. You have to have a short hose connected to it with the other end in the bottle and the bypass valves closed for the pump to suck the "pink stuff" up into the lines by the pump. You open one faucet at a time until the "pink stuff" comes out then close it and open the other one. It really is a two person job since you need to watch the fluid levels in the jugs while someone turns on the pump switch and opens the faucets. This is done on each and every faucet and don't forget the outside shower in the convenient center AND the washer faucets also even if you don't have a washer/dryer on board.

You may need to just bite the bullet and get it to a dealer if it's still under warranty. If it's out of warranty, might be easier to just get a new one and swap it out. If you haven't been behind the white panel yet, do so before buying a pump, you may have a loose fitting from the tank or something as simple as that.

Check to make sure the Power Fill valve is set to Normal, and not Power Fill. If it is set to Power Fill, the pump is pumping the water back into the fresh water tank.

My new unit has a similar problem. I thought my pump was bad. I removed the side wall on the convenience center and tightened several water connections, still would not draw water.
Took it to a close by dealer and he disconnected the line from the fresh water tank and ran a short water hose from the pump into a bucket of water. The pump pulled from the bucket of water great to all faucets inside the Montana. It just would not pump from Montana fresh water tank.
He said there was a bad connection or split water line between pump and fresh water tank. Of course they were not interested in fixing this problem, even though they are a Keystone Montana dealer. They are just too busy "with their own customers" to deal with my warranty issues. Of course they did claim, and collect, a couple hours of labor from Keystone to check out my problem.
We have an appointment with our selling dealer (Lazy Days) next month to get it fixed. What a wonderful factory warranty Keystone has when you have to be without a fresh water tank for 11 months and drive over a thousand miles to get it repaired. Okay, I'm done.

In the convenience center where all your water connections are, could you let us know how all the levers are positioned. Note the label beside each lever.

I'm having pumping problems too. I removed the one way valve that is also the winterize hose connector and was able to get it to draw antifreeze, but it still seems weak. My suspicion at this point is the winterize / fresh water valve. Has anyone had problems with this valve?

I can't thank you all enough for the input. Wasn't successful on this weekend getaway but headed to Fort Worden for Turkey weekend and will give all your ideas a try. Just trying to avoid having to travel all the way the Tacoma RV and let them fix for $$$$$$$ when it might be something so simple

As I posted above my problem is similar to yours (2013 Mountaineer) I just found the definite problem. The plastic 3 way winterizing / fresh water diverter valve was not completely sealing in either position. So in my case it was trying to pull from the winterizing hose connector and also sucking air from the fresh water tank. Yours could be doing the opposite.

That's a great way to test the pump! I'll have to remember that. Thanks.
