Electrical - temp storage
We are in a CG in Bothell, Washington. We are set up to go into a temporary area they have set aside for folks going on cruises. It is a good set up. This is a really nice CG and when you move your rig over to the temporary storage area they only charge you $3.00 per day. My question is concerning my power. They give me one 110 outlet. I have the adapters to run that through an extension cord to my coach (50amp cord -to- 30amp adapter -to- 110). I only want my battery charger and frig to get power. So do I go into my breaker panel and turn everything else off, or just make sure everything is turned off inside the coach and not worry about turning off different breakers?

Isn't Lake Pleasant a nice park (for the Seattle area)? I agree with Hook, don't turn off breakers (that isn't the best thing for them). Rather ensure you turn off everything electric (particularly the heavy AC users like the A/C, hot water heater, and any incandescent lights) leaving the refrigerator on (AC of course) and the converter.

Agree, just shut off everything you do not want powered, and leave the breakers as is.

Mine stays in storage plugged in most of the year. I never turn off a breaker.

Thanks....that's the way I was kind of leaning but wasn't sure. And yes, CarlnSusan, it is a really nice park. The sites are very "Washington" with all the trees and bushes between spots for privacy. Very friendly staff, decent rates, diesel a block away, and groceries close.
