Propane Alarm

Parked at the beach - strong west wind against side of trailer with hot water heater - took shower and propane alarn goes off. Alarm is located on panel below fridge, with hot water heater directly behind panel. After airing out alarm, it stopped. I could not smell any propane - but ran hot water until hot water heater kicked in again, and again alarm went off. I switched hot water heater to electric only, but suspect that the strong winds blowing directly into the hot water heater are pushing exhaust gases into area directly behind propane alarm. Will check that out after winds die down, and if it goes off again, will not use it until we geet back home and can get checked out at dealer. Been on numerous trips - never had this problem before, but never had such strong winds (20-35mph) blowing directly into that side of the trailer. Any other ideas?

Soapy water on all connections. Bubbles will expose leak, if any. You are probably right about the wind, but it never hurts to play it safe. If you go to the dealer, he will use the soapy water most likely. Larry

Our alarm goes off every time someone stays with us and we use the pullout couch.Last summer we had the hot water tank on electric and twice it went off. Of course at 2:30am, ended up pulling it out and unhooking. Doesn't do it when just the two of us are in there. Need to find out what is causing it.I guess I can get my son a tent :-)

X2 for me on checking, with gas you can't be too careful. That being said we just got back from the New Mexico high plains and had wind gusts on that side of the coach at up to 60mph on several days. When gusts that high hit the rig you could feel air come in where the refrigerator slides into the cabinet. That could certainly be it. Also had a ranger at the COE lake here tell me last summer about a camper who was afraid to sleep in their rig over a holiday weekend and requested their help (no camper service anywhere near here). The ranger moved their sleeping basset hound away from the alarm and once he was passing gas in another part of the rig the alarm was satisfied.

We also have a 326 and have the same problem. We have checked for
leaks and found none. I believe this is a design issue. We just use
eletric when the wind is blowing on the drivers side
