ABC Black and Grey Tank Repair

I recently had a crack in my grey water tank. Keystone could give me no info as my Montana is a 2003 model 3280. After research I found a product called Plasti Med. The company is in Loveland CO. The product is easy to use just follow directions. That part of my tank is now stronger the the rest of the tank. It only works on ABS tanks. You can tell if your tank is ABS if the fitting going from your tank to the drain pipe is glued. $37.00 plus $10.00 shipping was a lot less expensive than a new tank installed.

Good fix. I used the same type of product I got on Amazon.
Add 2 flex couplings to the line, the outlet spud is usually where it cracks, caused by the weight of a full tank binding on the drain line. The couplings will allow the flex without cracking the spud.

I used the Plasti-Mend also, and it worked great. While doing the repair, I noticed the same crack had been fixed earlier when I got my 3500RL. Would you believe they just put silicone on the crack and called it good. Naturaly it didn't hold because silicone won't stay bonded to the black plastic, it peeled off. Had I known how they fixed it then, I would have called them on it. Just goes to show, you can't trust the dealers service repairs. And of course, they went out of business. Oh, yes, I installed the rubber no-hub couplings that Oz suggested.
