REMEMBER
For all of those who either lost someone or know somebody who lost someone on September 11, 2001, let us not allow this day to be just a fleeting memory nor allow the memory of this day be swept under the rug. However painful it is we must all make sure that everyone remembers and passes this memory to the next generations to make sure this does not become just another day in our Great Nation's history but is honored forever as a day when in the face of great evil and terror, our nation's heroes stepped up and fought back. We must remember that the people of this Great Country came together and did not allow the infidel to break us or our spirit and that we showed them what it takes to be The United States of America!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

In the fall of 2005, on a cold and rainy day, I stood at the base of what had been the site of the World Trade Center twin towers. Workers had put up this cross made of beams found in the debris and draped it with a flag that had also survived the disaster. I don't think I've ever been anywere or seen anything that affected me as deeply as seeing this cross among the rubble in the rain.
