I went from a 2006 Silverado to a 2012. Bed rails were 1 or 1 1/2 inch higher. Also, bed was an inch or so higher from the ground. So I run nose high a little now but doesn't seem to bother. On my Superglide I had to get extra rails to raise the hitch about 3 inches to gain clearance because I was at the high point on the hitch mounting holes in the trailer.
So I would just hook it up and see how much clearance you have and adjust accordingly.
