My awning just stopped moving at 30" extended!
Uh-oh... I was just extending my awning and it suddenly stopped moving part way out. Now the switch does nothing and the awning is stuck. Dang! I'm supposed to pull out of this park tomorrow! The fuses look fine. I have no idea what fuse protects the awning as Keystone didn't label it (of course). But there are no blown fuse lights flashing. Oh brother...

You can try jumping the awning motor (right side arm) directly from the battery. Also, the methodology for manual retraction of the awning is outlined in the information package that came with your unit, basically removing a lock nut at the top of the roller arm and rolling it up and then replacing. Instructions also available online if you don't have. Awning will not be usable, but up and will allow you to continue your travel.

the problem with the manual method described in the book is the manual pull strap can't be inserted into the slot as described because the awning is mostly rolled up, therefore blocking insertion.

But you can grab hold of the arms or tube and control its inward travel. It's a screw on mine that must be removed...but I would sure try sticking some wire in the motor connector to see if it will move either way first. Good luck...may the force be with you. John

Check the switch also, it could have shorted out.

UPDATE: I am fixed and back home! Whew! I took my multi-meter and checked voltage on both sides of the switch. Everything was normal there. So, I knew the problem had to be in (1) The wiring out from the switch. (2) A connector problem. (3) A motor problem.
I climbed up and found the connector near the motor was unconnected totally! It had somehow totally disconnected itself. I reconnected it, and score! It all worked normally. So, I will go back up there tomorrow and secure it well with electrical tape. If it happened once, it will probably happen again if I don't prevent it from doing so.
