HONDA GEN DISCUSSION AT SISKIYOU
Hello all,
While at the Lake Siskiyou Rally I was having a discussion with someone about an "Extended Run Fuel System" for a Honda generator and told you I would e-mail you a link to where I got ours. The problem is.....I can't remember who it was I was talking to . So if it was you and you still want the link here it is: Red Cap System. This is the best price I was able to find in shopping around and they have FREE shipping too!!!! We are looking forward to using it at Quarzsite this year and not having to fill the generator every day .
Jack

That $99 price on Ebay for the single feed is a very good price plus, free shipping. Most other offerings are $109 to $119 and shipping might not be covered.
FYI - I have also seen a dual extender system for $139 to $169 but this would cut the run time in half because the fuel is shared. An internet search should find these, which uses the same fuel tank to feed two generators using a Y fuel line and two modified caps. The search might also find larger fuel tanks to extend run time.
A year ago, prior to seeing these ready-made fuel tank extender systems on line, someone had posted this for a DIY system. If you are mechanically inclined and want to customize your system you might try this out. According to the article's author the cost in parts is about $30, but depends on how fancy you get.

On edit: Jackel1959 - I forgot to ask. In the DIY link above a bulb is used inline to get the fuel started. How is the line primed on the unit you have? How does this work?
