Domitic refrigerator again?
I received in the mail today another recall on the burner box of the frig, this one is different than the others. I'll call tomorrow and post the information.

I went to the website and plugged in my serial number and model.....Mine starts with a "D"....on the site it only has "R" so thinking I may have misread I used the "R" and my numbers.....which then told me I was in the recall group......I went out and confirmed my reading and it was still a "D" so I am OK for now......

Update
I called Dometic and they told my my paperwork was duplication, they sent out another set of papers to make sure that all owners of effected models were notified, they told me that if I had the recall work preformed on the refrigerator I could disregard this notice that it was not for a differant recall.

We had our Dometic recall fix put in and we picked up the 3400RL last Thursday. Camped for 4 days w/o problems and came home. Picked up the mail from the previous days while we were gone. Included was a letter from Dometic telling us about the recall. I had forgotten to tell my wife that I had asked the dealer to take care of that while our RV was in for other work. She was impressed that I had already had it taken care of. I guess I was trying to keep her from worrying about that on top of all our other RV issues. At least we were ahead of the curve on that one thanks to the MOC Forum.

Two notices came from Dometic, with just the recalled refrigerator. serial numbers. You may also get a notice from Keystone and it will list all the Keystone products, models, and years effected by the recall.

I got one notice in the mail, and ironicly it came about two weeks after I had the update applied. I figured they got the paperwork from the service center that did the work, realized they didn't send me any notice and thought, woops, we better send him a notice.

ARGH! This is my second Montana with a bunk refer. They put a little piece of tin on the fridge and call it a fix...I don't think they are safe. I don't blame Montana but I think Dometic should step up to the plate and replace these defective units.

Tin thing makes it hard to clean that area. If you have a rear galley like I do all the road dust will collect in frige area in front of the tin . I will have to do a good job with an air compressor.

Received notice of recall. We had Refrigerator fixed last spring when cooling unit went out while on the road. Call the number on notice for forms to get refund for repairs. After five calls three to recall center one to Dometic and one to Keystone. I got the job done there is a 1 year window for reimbursement for repairs. If you had repairs made between 4/11/07 to 4/11/08 they will reimburse you. Found my receipt for the repairs they were done 4/7/08 now I am waiting for the claim forms.
