Campground info

Does anyone have info on campgrounds at Lake Guntersville in Alabama. Have heard fishing is good there and would like to camp there in the future.

If you don't get any help here or even if you do another place would be campgroundreviews.com. There are 3 listed for Guntersvile and if you know of towns in the surrounding area there could be more.

I LOVE that link, Glenn. I get great comfort from any recommendation that comes from a person who has stayed at a campground that I'm looking at. Sometimes the reviews vary greatly from one another, in which case you need to wonder if someone connected to the business is trying to build it up. But for the most part, the recommendations are very helpful.

I don't normally hold a whole lot of faith in one or 2 reviews as they could be the CG's competition or their best friends. Sometimes the comments sound like a script from a radio commercial.
But I just loved this rating for Riveredge RV Park in Pigeon Forge.....
All Ratings (1=poor 10=excellent): 10, 8, 10, 8, 8, 10, 10, 10, 1, 9, 7, 6, 7
with the exception of the 1, it really is telling you something. I have been there and would highly recommend it.
And this one for King's Holly Haven...
All Ratings (1=poor 10=excellent): 9, 9, 9, 8, 9, 9, 9, 7, 5, 9, 9, 5, 9
Was there a few weeks ago and definitly would return.

But I have also stayed in some with a Rating of 2 and that was rated way too high

It isn't always possible to tell by ratings I agree Glenn. People with children might rate a park low for lack of nice playground. We don't need a playground. We almost never use the park restrooms/showers so that rating doesn't apply to us. Ditto on a pool or spa. While for others this is very important. We want large easy to get into sites, quiet and scenery. We use to not ever use a park if there was no TV but now that we have DirecTV that doesn't matter. We stayed in a park once that had a TL rating of 9, 9, 10. Must of been a long time since TL visited as it was more like a 1,1,1!
Happy trails...............
