Pressure Washer Soap/Wax Combination
I just purchased a bottle of Simple Green with Carnuba wax to use in my pressure washer to clean the RV. Pressure washer indicates only cleaners marked for pressure washers should be used. Unfortunately this bottle makes no mention of pressure washer approval. Does any one know of a cleaner for pressure washers that both washes and waxes? Has any one used a was/wax cleaner that was not approved for pressure washer use in a pressure washer that did not result in damage to the unit?

Pressure washing your fiver isn't the best approach to cleaning it unless it is one of the electric low pressure homeowner type ... too many places for water to find it's way in especially around the slide seals, fridge vents, microwave vent, and water heater vent. Pressurized water can even come in your windows from the drain slots on the bottom of the frames. The storage door seals are notorious for not making a very good seal. It's a job, but several buckets of soapy water and elbow grease does the trick rinsing with a garden hose as you go.

Carnuba wax is probably one of the best looking wax out there but the problem is in hot weather it only last a week or two. What I do is do a dawn wash that will remove all waxes and put on a good synthetic like Rejex or others on the market. Don't use dawn as a regular wash unless you want to start over since it is harsh. You can use a good wash and wax but they are good for few weeks to couple months at most. You can spend the bucks and time for something like Zanio that will last up to year but it lot work and hard to apply.
I would never use a pressure washer on RV but I use a good auto wash and soft brush. Simple Green has a lot uses but on the surface of RV isn't one of them.

We do use a pressure washer on occasion but at zero or very low pressure. We use any kind of soap mixture.

Thanks for all of your opinions. I found the solution at Lowe's this morning. They sell a soap bottle that attaches to the end of the wand so there is no contact with any part of the pressure washer. It is an electric one with relatively low pressure so I am going to give it a shot being careful not to was at an angle to the slide out seals and staying totally away from the roof.

A pressure washer will make your vinyl stickers curl over time.

My decals are in such bad shape that getting them to peel would be a blessing. I have been scrapping the loose parts and every week have to start all over. I was actually thinking of using the pressure washer on a low setting to help get them off.

Just a side note: We are no longer are allowed to use Simple Green in the aviation industry due to it having a high acidity level which causes corrosion.

I would never use a pressure washer on the Montana. I prefer to use my large & soft brush that is designed for the purpose and mounted on an extension pole.

Our power washer on the highest setting will write your name in the concrete driveway it would destroy the gel coat if on the highest setting. The Power washer is adjustable from no pressure to the highest we set it accordingly when we use it.

x2 on no power washer. I use the soft brush on the extension pole with Dawn and come right back with a full wax. Mr. Clean white pads are the best I have found for bugs on the gel coat. I wash and then coat my roof twice a year with rubber protector. Our rig is stored under cover when not in use.

I would not use a pressure washer on the RV unless your trying to remove a decal or cleaning the frame and axles
