Dollywood

Has anyone ever been to Dollywood? If so is it worth going during the summer or should we wait until the weather is cooler? Thanks!

We have been a couple of times and plan on going while there. It is definitely hot in the summer, but there are indoor shows that are air-conditioned, mild to wild water rides, lots of ways to keep cool.

Dollywood is definitely worth going to. And yes, it can be very hot in that part of the country so you have to judge for yourself. Dollywood offers lots to do. And they have a bird sanctuary with beautiful birds of pray. The show itself is worth the time. And if you're really luck Dolly just might be walking around the park.

It has been a number of years since we were there. But as I remember it was sort of down in a valley with lots of trees, both of which block most of any breeze that may have been blowing. We were there in Sept time frame and as I remember it was pretty warm then.

We are not thrill ride enthusiasts, but the other activities were great. Have planned to go back, but just have not made it yet.
