Mountaineer Warranty

I have a 2006 Montaineer and the rocker arm between the tires on the slide side of the 5'er is broken leaving one tire riding higer and wearing out the inside of the tire.

I know that most things are covered only under a one year warantee but I thought, but can not find any documentation, that the frame had a longer warranty.

Does anyone have any information on that? Any advice on what other damage I should look for related to this damage?

Thanks!

The rocker arm you are talking about I believe it is called an equalizer, if that is what you're referring to? Here is a link that might help out if you can't get it done with warranty.

Gumby56,

The equalizer and shackles are usually NOT warranty items. Your dealer and or Keystone may cover them for you if you are less than a year old. I would hope they would. When you get them replaced by all means go with the heavy duty ones and not just regular replacements. The heavy duty shackles and greaseable brass bearings are a great improvement. They will take a lot of worry off your shoulders.

Many folks here on the MOC have replaced the items you're talking about. I have a few pictures posted on my PictureTrail site.

Good luck.

Thanks all for the help!

I did find that this was not covered under warranty. I called the customer service line and asked for the Montana Team but the woman kept insisting that she could help me. It wouldn't have helped anyway as it was not covered.

I did call Dexter and they where very helpful. My dealer said that there was not a heavy duty option but Dexter was able to provide me with the part numbers. So I share these in case anyone is interested.

Equalizer Heavy Duty Replacement Kit

13-104 K71-359-00

13-110 K71-448-00

13-122 K71-449-00

The equalizer number shown is the one found on your existing hardware and the kit include the equalizer as well as the shackles, etc. The kit is for both sides and Dexter was even willing to walk me through self installation.

I hope this helps others in the future.
