We are back home in Alabama
We have arrived home safely at our stick house after five months on the road. We had a wonderful time visiting our family and seeing some of the highlights of the Midwest. Oh, yes, there was also a rally somewhere that we really enjoyed!
It's good to be home but the amount of work to do is overwhelming! Sure is easier in our mobile doghouse. But it won't be long before we're on the road again. We'll be here until after Christmas.
Our house is only about 15 miles from Interstate 65 in central Alabama so if you're traveling through the state, let us know. Maybe we can get together for lunch or dinner. Safe travels to everyone heading south.

Welcome home Judy. Don't try to do it all at once. Take a well earned break.

Uh, you really gonna make Glenn mow the grass? 5 Months on the road, it must be pretty high. Does he have a bush hog?

Phill, a little check in the mail took care of that task while we were gone. And the best thing about bermuda grass is that it is dormant during the winter. But then there are the leaves.......
Helen, we're definitely going to pace ourselves. We drove 485 miles on Monday to get home but it was a great trip. Memories of the weekend with our grandson helped, I'm sure.

Glad you are home Judy and Glen. We will be leaving for FL on Dec. 1st, and I can't wait as it is so cold already here. We have had snow several times and I am freezing and I never am cold.

Judy,
Glad to hear you have arrived home safe and sound. I am sure it won't be long until you are ready to head out again. Enjoy your time at home.

Thanks, everyone. It is great to be back at the stick house but it's easy to see why life in the Montana is so great. There is soooooo much to do! Thanks for bragging, Helen, that you cleaned your house in 45 minutes.
But we have officially decided that we're going to keep our stick house intact and longtime instead of fulltime. This decision comes after we sold the car to our son and wife, gave away furniture and packed up half the house. But, as of today, it's the right decision for us. We'll still be on the road a lot, hoping to cross paths with other MOCers.
Sue, you're right about it being cold this fall. We were glad to get south but have overdressed the past two days that we've been home. Can't get used to the warm weather. Pity!
