Installing a 12 V Plug

Has anyone installed a 12 v plug in jack wired from a 12 v light fixture. We want the plug so we can set up tv in lounge on 12 circuit

Dang cowboys, that post you replied to was 2007. But to answer your question, for us no. We were glad our cheap 12vdc tv died an early death. Never even mounted it outside on the mount in the pass thru storage. One could easily wire a 12vdc outlet to the base of a 12vdc bulb by breaking the glass to access the inside of the bulb base. That would be the cleanest way to "wire" it into a 12vdc lamp fixture. We never boondock, so never see a need for running anything out of the norm.

I realize it was an old note but needed info. We have a new HDMI tv and Jensen receiver and would like to use them through the 12v circuit but don't have a plug in the lounge of our 3400 rl 2008. Trying to figure out how to put one in as we already have an inverter

I have added several 12 volt cigarette lighter style plugs to all three campers I have owned. You can intercept any 12 volt wire to do so.

You should be able to install one near most any light/switch.

I use mine for charging cell phones/ E cig batteries etc.

Thanks for your replies, our tv is a 110v, we have a 12 plug in bedroom for tv but not in lounge and are not electrical wizards.
