!st Monty going full time....soon

Just put $ down on a 3931fb legacy. Selling the house soon and headed to the Houston area to go full time while still working. This is our 4th RV since getting into it in 2011. Currently in Aurora, Colo. and all of our RVing has been boon docking at gorgeous Lake McConaughy in Nebraska. Fortunate enough to spend 2 Christamas’s in Port A, Tx which really got us wanting a completely different life style. Why wait for retirement. Lets start now. My wife and I are sure we will be using this forum as a resource for the years ahead of us.
We plan on keeping the ‘16 wildcat as our traveler with so many areas to go and explore. Anyway thanks for having us.

Congrats on your lifestyle change. As I'm sure you're aware, it's going to be hot, humid, and sunny during the summer in the Houston area. Suggest you give some amount of priority to getting a shady site to protect from afternoon sun.

Welcome to the forums. As you can tell you found a bunch of friendly and helpful people here. Been many years since I was on McConaughy sailing a catamaran. North Platte is where I was born with lots of family still out there.

Welcome and get a rv site in the shade, on a hill well above the low lying Houston area.

Welcome to the forum

I spent about half of the 14 years I worked offshore oil just down the road from Port Arthur on Bolivar Pensulia. Are you a salt fisherman?

Welcome to the ' Lone Star State' and this forum. You might want to consider an 3rd a/c if full timing. As you already know it's not just hot but miserable with all the humidity here. Hope you enjoy the forum.

We did not order with a 3rd but it is pre wired and framed. I was told that I would not be able to run all 3 off of 50amp? I liked the idea of having a much needed back up if something went wrong but will have to add it later.

We are going to sell our 2017 3820FK at the end of this season and get a 3931FB as well. If you will be at a regular RV park, and if they have the 50 and the 30 amp plug ins, I have heard of guys on this forum connecting to both outlets with an after market adapter to run the third A/C unit on the 30 amp outlet? Not sure how they did it, but hopefully they will chime in so you can be comfortable in Texas all year long!

Welcome and looks like you got some great plans. We went to McConaughy from our home in Wyoming with my folks at 12 y.o. in our 1st rv in 1966 .. a new Dreamer Camper on our brand new 1966 Ford pickup. Spent a full week of fun boating and RVing there. Been RVing ever since ....

Just curious? Why are you changing floor plans from the 3820 to 3930? We thought we wanted and were happy with the 3821ms until we really compared the 2 side by side.

Having more than one bathroom really appealed to us!
