You will have trains by every twenty minutes or so all night long. After the arrival night, we went to a hotel to escape the second 6 am start of work. Lunch is free if you are in the waiting room when the office folks take the menu around. I had a sausage hoagie that was to die for. Very nice people to deal with there. When first measured at 6 am the starting work day, my bed rail clearance on my truck was 5.5 inches. When I left it was 9 and monte was level. Big difference in towing over the spring suspension and no need to tell you what disc brakes will be like. Enjoy. John

Can't talk about about the IS (maybe someday) but the disc brakes I installed this past winter is the best upgrade I have done by far. You will love them and feel much more confident on the hiway. That nut in the Camry that pulled in front of you and slamed on brakes would thank you if he only knew what had just save his butt.

We're scheduled for the new rig after the Rally. Can't wait for the lunch. Had it last time and again when we had them check the old unit (something we did every 3 years since we travel so much).

We have an appointment with them towards the end of July to check out everything on our IS, Disc Brakes, and repack the bearing. We have just over 30K mile on it, so it's due for a check-up.

We do that at the fall rally every couple of years. They have never had to do anything.

Does Morryde charge to check out the IS and brakes. We are scheduled for the fall rally and wonder if we should schedule an appointment for a check out. Had the install May, 2017. Thanks

To be honest I donít know the answer to your question. I suggest calling Rob Kolean @ 5742931581 ext 1256 or e-mail: rob.kolean@morryde.com

Morryde is located in Elkhart, Indiana. They also have a facility in Oregon.

No they didn't for us, but then they found a crack in the disk brake line and gave me the best price they could to fix it.

Mor-Ryde only installs in Elkhart. You are looking at a little over $6,000.00 for brakes and suspension. If you have it done from i believe Nov.-March you can save 10% on the total cost as this is there slowest time of year. You will never have anyone touch your rv that is more professional than Mor-Ryde.

I was told by Rob kolean that you can have the install done in Oregon as well. He did not state where in oregon, only that it was a facility that they use there. If anyone is interested in oregon, I would email rob (rob.kolean@morryde.com) to find out the details. Cost for 8k i.s. and discs is around 6500 without tax. 7k i.s. is 6000. Price is more with the best bearing, but not a lot of money.

Just before the steel tariffs I was quoted $6300 for 8,000# IS and disk brakes. I hope they can still honor that quote in October when we are scheduled.

If disc and I.S. is 6300.00 then disc should be about half that or less. I had the disc and 7,000 pound I.S. and my disc was half.

You can order the brakes and have a loval shop install your brakes if yo canít or donít want to DIY. I canít imagine it being over 22-2300 all in.
My son in-law works at LesSchwab and they install them. You might check in Eugene.

A word of caution to you. We had the disc brake upgrade done in November of 2016. Took a while to get them working correctly as Morryde really wasn't bleeding the brakes correctly which wound up leaving air in the lines and we had about a 3-5 delay before the brakes would become effective. Proper bleeding by myself and son in law fixed that and the brakes come on line in maybe a 1/2 second.

We took our 3402 RL out last year on a 5600 mile trip and everything was working great until we left the KOA in Flagstaff the day after Labor Day on our way home. As we left the campground I noticed we had no brakes. Thought maybe I'd just failed to get the electrical plug all the way in so I stopped and reinserted with same results. But we continued on with the thought we'd get them checked at our next layover. Then we noticed a vibration once on the freeway and I thought maybe we'd thrown a wheel weight or something. We didn't get far down the road before an off duty code enforcement officer pulled up beside us and motioned us over and I told my wife he's seeing what I'm feeling. Once stopped we discovered the left front spring bolt was missing. Coach was bouncing on the tire. And with further inspection I found the brake calipers on the front axle we dangling at the bottom of the wheel instead of at the rear position. The bolts holding the caliper mounting brackets had sheared on both sides. The holes were completely wallowed out indicating the bolts had been loose for a while before they finally sheared. Mobile repair came out and got a new bolt in the spring and removed the calipers so we could at least limp in to a repair facility. I asked him to check the rear caliper mounting bracket bolts to see if they were loose and sure enough they were all loose as well. Another couple who had the upgrade done the day before us sent me an email a couple of weeks later suggesting I check our brake caliper mouthing bolts as he'd found all of his loose as well but fortunately they did not have the catastrophic failure we had.

Given Morryde does these conversions on a daily basis I thought I'd chosen the right place for the upgrade. The ultimately stood behind their work so I guess it was a good choice but we were lucky we didn't find out in a panic stop that we had no brakes which could have been a whole lot worse.

Bottom line, check that your caliper and suspension bolts are tight!!
